Here's a pair of early 1900s dry process porcelain spool/bushings as they were found. Complete with lots of the tiny cracks and popped air bubbles, etc. Finally found these in an old electrical catalog- they are called meter board insulators! (Left to R): Measure 2 1/2" w x 2 7/8" tall. Has two small flakes. $20. 1 5/8 wide x 2 3/8 tall. Has three small flakes. $15. Other small flakes appear to be glazed over indicating they were made that way at the factory. Found in Missouri. The glaze has taken on a pinkish purple hue possibly indicating they were buried for some time. First email gets them both for the reduced price of only $25 plus 8.40 postage. Thanks! |
