This is a zoom view of the first pole (the one in the foreground)in along this stretch: [id=590103111] Click "Previous" for a close look at the top of the pole that is the second one in. All of the insulators as well as the pole and crossarms appear to be painted. The insulator on the far right of the middle crossarm appears to be a CD 266 (No.5 Cable). Both the porcelain (New Lexington) and glass versions of this design were used to a limited degree or perhaps more on Boston's transit power system. |
