Fire alarm wires ran atop this pole line using stancions made from steel pipe and 90-degree elbows. Standard-size wood insulator pins were inserted in the top elbow bends. In this photo it appears that pins having threads on both ends were utilized. These used open-ended Brown's pony insulators on their undersides. Click "View Original" for some nice detail.
