My Parents and I decided to do a significant amount of driving a few weeks ago to visit an auction sale located rather far from home. It turned out to be well worth it. This is a picture of the 96 insulators and 2 lightning arrestors which we rescued from the antique store of a retiring dealer. The only insulators we didn't buy were maybe 5 of them which were in a group. The best of the 5 was a very badly chipped Carnival CD 234 CORNING PYREX. It wasn't worth the amount it was going for because the chipping was so horrible, and there wasn't anything else but a bunch of BROOKFIELD 102s in the lot. There isn't anything really too great. Among the best are several cable top styles which were used in this and that area. Such as a Hemingray CD 252, and several WHITALL TATUM CD 272s. Aside from that only a HEMI CD 165, and a selection of HEMI - 42s, and chipped DOMINION - 42s was liberated, with a few more interesting pieces thrown in for good measure. Some interesting hardware was purchased, and one of the two lightning arrestors I've grown particularly fond of. Another thing - I convinced my mom to go for an attempt to buy the large 8 gallon crock in the left of the picture. She was hesitant at first, but our efforts paid off when she bagged that huge crock for only $5! We were amazed!
