These are two different color mushroom style Neon Sign Insulators. I put a wall tube in the holder so you could see how the neon tube would sit in it. On the top clamps it is marked Pat. Pend on both of them, You can find the patent US 2,173,510 on Google Patents that shows how they were intended to be used. I would love to see a picture of a Neon Sign with these in use but my searches have turned up nothing. I would imagine it would be a very large sign because these insulators are about 3 X 3 or so inches tall/wide.
