Here's a never before seen porcelain insulator with a iron or galvanized metal cap and hook! Marked "L.Pool" "BHIWL" (the latter letters are hard to distinguish. Last letter could be an L, R or D) [id=582049392]. This British made insulator was recovered in South America and was manufactured circa 1865-75. Has a unique iron pin with a rectangular head and dual slots.

Measures 2 1/4"w x 4 1/8" tall. Has original pin. One index fingernail inner skirt flake and some scratches otherwise excellent condition.
