Here's a unusual porcelain split bushing with 'teeth' inside for improved grip marked PEIRCE and H inside a shield (Hartford?). Measures 2 7/8" w x 3 1/4" tall. Has a thumb and index flakes on one half and small popped glaze bubble on other half. Some scattered factory unglazed spots and a small area of light scratches. One half is glazed dark brown the other is medium brown. Displays excellent.
