This line was still alive and well when I was a kid as we ventured out to the Cape on Sundays for a day at the beach. Along the way I fondly recall seeing lots of really short poles like you see here along Cape Cod railroad right-of-ways. And I thought they were so very cool being so short in comparison to the "standard height" utility poles I was used to seeing just about everywhere else :-)
