Here's a rare unlisted wide slot-top porcelain insulator that was found in Spain. Unmarked but most likely made in Germany or France. An example in the exact style with same measurements is shown in a circa 1900-10 German catalog (maker likely Hermsdorf) and also in an 1899 French advertisement by PFC (along with the smaller U-2034 style) [id=579743554]. Snow white glaze. Measures 3 3/8" W x 5 1/8 Tall.

The U-2034 has a 3/4" wide slot, while this unique example has 1 1/8" wide! To date, this exact style insulator has only been found/used in Spain. How they were used still remains a mystery. Not in any of the worldwide books or NIA website.

Has 2 chips in the inside of the slot walls. One is pinky nail size and the other is 1/4" flake plus a one inch repair using original flake.

First email gets this rare porcelain insulator for only $300 plus shipping. Can accept payment split between 2 months. Thanks!

I have similar wide slot top with unique variations and markings available [id=434858842].
