Up for grabs is a great-looking lineup of Canadian CD 152s in the Diamond embossing. This embpssing, as far as CD 152s or Hoopskirts go, doesn't seem to be especially common even here in Canada. Evidently it was not a long-lived style here and while it saw use across the entire country, these days I only see occasional pockets or isolated individual examples surface. A number were used along primarily the Great North Western-leased telegraph lines of the GTP, GTR, and CNR along with a number of other railways. Finding a complete lineup of colours can be a lifetime goal as some colours saw extremely limited use in only a handful of areas. It seems as though the most scarce colour variants are the peach (currently unlisted and often overlooked), aqua, and icy yellow green shades. In this lineup I have (from left to right) blue, light sage green, light straw, and peach examples available. The blue example is in good shape apart from a 1/8" rear upper wire ridge ping, and three tiny less than 1/8" pings on the rear skirt. The light sage green example is VNM with just one tiny less than 1/8" ping on the very bottom of the base beneath the right mold line. The light straw example is NM with a few tiny microflakes on the rough outer base mold line of the rear skirt and one less than 1/8" fleabite on the inner skirt. Lastly, the light peach example is VNM with just a less than 1/8" tiny flake on the inner mold line edge of the inner skirt. I'm trying to be as critical condition-wise as I can, but all four of these are great-looking examples that require close examination to find any condition issues with. I'm now asking $60 USD plus shipping for the set. The peach example is quite a scarcity by itself but all are great additions to a window lineup. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
