Here's a rarely seen threadless British porcelain insulator made for use on the Great Southern Railway in Argentina. A small handful of these have been reportedly recovered from early radio transmission towers. This is the first one offered on ICON. Incuse marked: [id=578535534] "Made in Britain RF 090." Measures 6 1/4 wide x 8 1/4" tall. Has match head flake on crown rim with an old teeny surface hairline glaze crack otherwise excellent condition! Pinhole is unusually large. It appears as though this was made to fit like a cap onto the top of a pointed pole. How it was secured is unknown. First email gets this rare insulator for only $525 plus shipping. Thanks! Willing to accept purchase divided into two payments. Thanks! |
