Rockland, MA c1910. 3-Crossarm, 10-Pin Phone Openwire Pole, Fire Alarm Wires on Top

The majority of CD 134 T-H.E. Co. insulators in amber were found on fire alarm circuits in Rockland and neighboring Abington, MA during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Approximately 40 were located from these locales.

Also of interest, the Southern Massachusetts Telephone Company operated in Rockland (and in many surrounding communities) when this photo was taken. So perhaps there are some So. Mass. Tel. Co. ponies on the pole you see here. Unfortunately, as far as I know, only one of their insulators surfaced in the forementioned geographic area. It is an aqua one I found unused on a pole on a deadend street in 1970 (maybe it was one the phone company missed...).
