19 people brought 76 pieces for the display

Thank you everyone.

Unusual Suspects Organizers make no claims about these pieces. They have been "donated" because the owner or hobby in general thinks they have "questionable pedigree".

CD 102 (No Embossing) – These are the 1st repo'd insulator in the hobby. An Owens Glass Company employee made some of these in the early 1970's. They were threaded with wet wooden cobs.

CD 120 CEW - Supposedly these had been saved by an old lineman from a line that went from the Grass Valley to Marysville in California. They came out after the CD 123 J-M pieces and are found in Cobalt Blue, Amber, Burgundy, Purple, etc.

CD 121 AmTel&TelCo – These crudely made solid pours are embossed AM TEL & TEL Co. One is Blue and Clear and the other Red, and Clear with Yellow and Black spots. They were an experiment of a collector.

CD 123 ECMCo (molds J-M) Around 1996 these began showing up in the wild colors. Supposedly they were found in a dump site near the rail yards in Sacramento during some construction, but the story of the find was not consistent. Found in various colors include Green Blackglass, Peacock Blue, Pink, Green, etc.

CD 123 Hazardous Waste Clean Up find – Two B variants, one C variant, and the "I" mold (skirt embossed) In 1994, approx 120 pieces were found and introduced into the hobby. Report in the Fall 2010 Drip Points

CD 133.4 West Virginia Bullets – These are also referred to the Tennessee Bullets). First introduced at the 1990 Eastern Regional Show in Kulpsville PA. Colors: 12 teal blue; 12 cobalt; 3 purple; 1aqua; 2 clear.

CD 162 NAJ (Hemingray -19) These were introduced in 2004 as a commemorative and were initially sandblast marked "NAJ04" and the mold was later engraved NAJ2005. Unfortunately, about a dozen have been found unmarked. Even the marked ones cause major confusion to new collectors.

CD 701.6 (No Embossing) Only a couple in Aqua are known to have surfaced over the last 3 years. One on eBay and one in and antique store in Wisconsin.

CD 728.4 (No Embossing) Only one or two have surfaced in the last few years. They are virtually identical to the square pin threadless private issue commemorative that were produced around 2010 in various colors.

CD 731 Tillotson (Narrow Dome) These appeared in the year 2000 in various colors including: blackglass, shades of blue (including cobalt) and green. Small "O" embossing

CD 731 (No Embossing) Narrow Dome. Believed to be made from reworking the narrow dome Tillotson mold. These started surfacing in 2006 were aged/made to "look right".

CD 735 (No Embossing) (1970's) Aqua

CD 735 (No Embossing) (1990's) Introduced in the early 1990's. Found in exotic colors.

CD 737.6 (No Embossing) Started surfacing in the last five years in various colors.

CD 788 Slashtop (No Embossing) Some wild colors have surfaced in the last few years.

Sierra Blocks first showed up in the early 90s at California club events. They supposedly came from some early lines servicing some mines in the Sierras.

Additional pictures of unavailable suspect pieces are on the table.
