The electric company that served this south-of-Boston town became part of the Boston Edison Company in 1938. The construction you see is very typical of Boston Edison distribution and in places you can see similar poles in areas where upgrading has not taken place for decades, especially where 4kv primary distribution is prevelant (very common in their service territory).
