Yes, I will agree, California is known for their 'weird ways', but let's not go there. :-)

Instead, let's showcase some oddball California embossed insulators. All of the ones on the upper row look much better with base lighting, but not too bad without, as well. California was not known for it's strict quality control, but they did seem to consistently produce fairly well-made insulators. They did slip up on occasion, as evidenced by this group.

I am always looking to add like examples to my collection.
