This line pararelled the canal and I very fondly recall looking at it during weekend trips to Cape Cod beaches when I was a kid. The tightly-strung old copper wire was a really nice mint green color from weathering. Perhaps a tad more vivid in color owing to the salt spray in the area. Along with the sparkling clear and aqua insulators, light gray cedar poles and adjacent scenery, recollections of this line certainly are among my all-time favorites! Sometimes my parents would stop at a roadside rest area atop one of the hilly roads on the way to the beach. This line and the railroad tracks were in full view (like you see here) looking down from the rest stop. That was so cool!!
