This historic line ran between Boston, MA and Albany, NY. It was the main long distance connection between those cities and AT&T's further points for many years. I believe the line was built in the mid to late 1880s. It ran east-west across Massachusetts into NY State and was known to have utilized several styles of rare insulators, including "Pilgrim Hats" and Brookfield mold-line-over-dome CD 145s that did not have an inner skirt. It is believed the latter were installed here and there atop some poles on the ridge pin supporting a ground wire.
