Up for sale is a great example of the metal-skirted Canadian CD 154 for those in search of an example. This unique design is only found in Canada and was designed to physically protect the insulator (designed for a CD 154 style) from impacts such as bullets, stones, etc. They are typically found near urban areas, which means that not too many were made, and these tend to be difficult to track down as pieces used in cities often are. This example is attached to a light straw Diamond CD 154. The insulator itself is in VNM condition with only one 1/8" bruise on the outer edge of one side. The metal skirt is in good shape apart from some fairly typical dents and a light coat of rust. There doesn't seem to be much galvanization left on this example, though to the best of my knowledge all of these would have left the factory with a galvanized exterior surface. I'm asking $60 USD plus shipping for this example. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
