Once again Springfield attendees can take advantage of my California insulator expertise. I have 21 years experience collecting Cals exclusively and have been fortunate to be able to regularly add new additions to my collection with most of the collection growth occurring in unlisted color/CD combinations. Sure would like to scratch one off my want list-- which includes my list of traders [id=549405707] for a change!

Even if you don't have anything to sell or trade, I can help with:

1) color identification. Even veteran Cal collectors can make mistakes if they don't have enough color reference examples and there are still plenty of oddball and tweener California shades that have not been recognized by their owners.

2) heat and radiation altered colors. Do you know the tell-tale signs of heat-altered Cals? Apparently not enough of you do, as one suspicious Cal recently went for big bucks on eBay.

3) valuation. Not all Cals have an established market value. If it doesn't, will it go low, high or somewhere in between? What are the current Cal market demands?

4) seeing is believing. Need to see what a specific Cal color looks like? I can bring a limited number to Springfield.

I don't have a sales table, so if I am not walking the aisles, you will probably find me at Gene Hawkins' table.

********************************************************************************************* 2019 Springfield Contest

Answer the insulator riddle:

I am not that old;

I am not that pretty;

I am easier to find when I am small. and darn near impossible to find when I am larger;

Experienced voices say look east, but I could just as likely be found in your neighborhood;

What am I?

Winner of the contest will receive a plum California signal delivered to Springfield or shipped at no cost to the owner.

The answer is Electrose insulators and the contest winner is Rick Soller.
