This structure dates to the mid 1910s - 1922 and was made by the Colorado Power Company. I haven't found sufficient evidence as to the exact time it was built but was standing by 1922. The transmission line was 13,000-volts and served many mines and a boom town in the high country of Colorado. Ive enjoyed monitoring the elevation on these lines. 9,500 ft at the this location with the transmission line cresting a pass at 11,500-ft a few miles away. |
