Up for sale is this beautiful peacock blue H.G. Co. CD 151. I was fortunate to acquire this piece from David Wiecek, a long-time and well respected collector from New Jersey. I met Dave at the 2006 Springfield show in late October 2013 (almost 6 years ago) where he had this piece for sale. Due to some minor damage, it was far less expensive, and thus far more affordable to me, than 'mint' pieces at the time - $550. I am offering today for the same price I paid for it 6 years ago (plus shipping, USA only) - I always sell pieces I've acquired from other collectors at the same price I paid…many other collectors have done that with me and I've always appreciated that approach. I have had this piece in my bedroom, on a glass shelf in front of a window (where it really glows), where I have admired it every day as the sun rises through it. One of my favorite pieces in my collection.

As for the piece, it is a gorgeous peacock blue. Not 'deep/dark' peacock, or 'light' peacock, but regular ol' spectacular peacock. The 'damage' is confined to the 'back' of the piece, as can be seen in the photos. Two teeth from the outer skirt, and 5-6 from the inner skirt. There is also a thin, narrow open-bubble on the underside of the front, upper wire guide, above the 'H' of H.G.Co. Damage aside, it is a great piece, with a few little bubbles here and there and strong (but not overly so) embossing. There is also some very cool 'junk' in this piece: A long milk 'string', kinda shaped like a stirrup, is on the back, the bottom of the loop passing behind 'Petticoat'. It is tough to photograph, though if you zoom in you should be able to notice it. It's pretty cool in person. There is also some milk string and a 'concentration' of milk on the right side of the piece, just above the upper wire guild.

All in all a great addition to anyone's collection!
