This big guy was installed in 1913 inside of the Ocoee No. 2 hydroelectric plant by the Tennessee Power Company. When the plant opened in 1913 electric transmission was at 66,000-volts with apparatus for 120,000-volts until the existing system was re-insulated for 120,000-volt service by 1920. TVA refurbished this transformer and moved it outside of the plant to a new substation during a past plant remodel. It has since been disconnected. The tank is original from 1913 with bushings replaced but can't say much for the inside. Either of General Electric or Westinghouse make. Very likely the last beast from such an early era and high voltage still in existence.
