I've recently upgrade this piece, so here's the old one from my collection. It' a CD 160.7 EIN [020] (Base) [4 tiny diamonds forming a diamond] AM.INSULATOR CO.N.Y. DOUBLE PETTICOAT [4 tiny diamonds forming a diamond]/PAT'D SEPT. 13, 1881 NOV. 13, 1883 BE, and the color is pushing Lyndeborough Blue with swaths of white milk that look better in hand than in the pics. Damage includes a dome chip about the size of a dime, a ½" wire ridge chip, a 2¼" base slice that takes out the first date and most of the second in the embossing, and a little roughness at the start of the threads. Sounds way worse than it looks, and it displays very nicely from a couple of angles. While the latest Price Guide does not list Lyndeborough Blue, nor does it mention any milkiness, it does say $300 - $350 for Blue Aqua and Light Blue and $400 - $500 for Blue. Considering the damage, I'm asking $185 plus postage.
