I caught this little guy 2 weeks ago in the local river. I don't believe it's a stonecat Madtom, but either a yellow bullhead or channel cat. At first I thought it was a tadpole because it was so small, a bit under 1/2 inch long, but them I saw the barbels. He's adapted well to tank life and eats Mysis shrimp readily. If it's a channel cat, he can get much bigger than 10 pounds. In comparison, the Johnny darter behind him is 1.5 inches long and it dwarfs the catfish.
