I have tied a number of camera exposures to get the color right. This is accurate to what my eye sees. Many of these dark Brookfields on e-bay or ICON are over exposed, which tends to make them show up as more amber and lighter than they really are. I would call this a dark olive amber.

Damage consists of some roughness (chipping) around the inside of the inner petticoat and 3 to four flea bites. There are two small pieces of what look like cullet in the dome and in the wire groove. They reflect a yellow color from my flashlight. I have never noticed this in the 10 years or so that I have owned this insulator. There is also a scratch on the inside of the pin hole.
