More than insulators were patented / made in 1885 . Discovered this in the far corner of an old barn. Took some time for me to find out what it is. I will post that information in a few days, until then if you want to know what it is, you'll have to research it for yourself.

Single strand wire in 33 inch lengths joined by interlocking loops. There is about 100 ft in the roll.

And yes, there is a collectors club and even a reference/ price guide for it.
