If only he was a few feet taller :) Here's my buddy, Tim, on a recent hunt the two of us went on. He's trying to climb the shortest pole either of us has ever seen on this line, but I'm concentrating more on the high tension lines in the background. Every one of those poles has more aqua glass suspensions on it than I could care to count! Every one of the strings you see is completely covered in glass. This photo's sort of an interesting contrast; in with the new, out with the old. These poles here are easily 50 years old, and are what's left of some of the best technology available in the first half of the century, and those enormous high tension lines dwarf them, in both a physical and a figurative sense! Imagine you were from the early age of Telegraph in the 1840s, and saw a picture like that, what was new to them, is already defunct, and newer, amazing technology has taken it's place. We take these telegraph lines for granted, soon lines like those high tension are gonna be all we can see, with even them slowly becoming less and less advanced, who knows what comes next.
