Up for sale is a pair of the uncommon Diamond CD 164s that surface on rare occasion across much of Canada. It always struck me as odd that these are without a doubt the most scarce of the diamond-marked insulators in general, despite other styles with this marking being amazingly common and CD 164s having seen widespread use across Canada. I just don't see these turn up often for whatever reason. Anyways, these two saw use in the London, ON area and are both a similar light green colour - the most common colour. The example at left in both the upper and lower photos has a 5/8" flat base flake on the front base edge. It also has a decent medium-sized bubble and a resultant ripple of glass between the inner and outer skirts giving it a bit of extra character. The example at right has some roughness/grinding all along the upper wire ridge in rear (visible). I'm not sure what may have caused this, but it does look good from the front anyways. I'm asking $25 USD plus shipping for the pair. Keep one and trade one away! Just get 'em outta my hands! I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
