Photo taken in the 1950s. I remember these home-made clothes lines well. They were scattered here and there throughout New England. They were *one* more thing that fascinated me while looking from the back windows of my parent's car while we were on trips, visiting relatives, etc. Very often these clotheslines would have glass insulators on them too! This concept undoubtedly was among the first "outdoor insulator displays" LOL!
