Up for grabs this evening is another scarce Canadian CD 154 variant: the RDP Diamond CD 154. Most any collector can find themselves an example of the common SB Diamond CD 154 in a peach or straw shade, but how many times have you seen a RDP example like this one turn up? These remain scarce in my opinion, and turn up only occasionally or in isolated pockets (like the teal green DOMINION 42 CD 154 also posted this evening). These examples along with the equally scarce RDP Diamond P CD 154s are also renowned for having excessively sharp wire ridges which led to them being easily damaged. As a result, most examples are badly chipped. This example is in a light peach shade and is clean and shiny despite a nicely whittled surface texture in areas. This example is in good shape apart from two adjacent chipped drips on the rear left base. As previously mentioned, these generally have badly damaged wire ridges so this example is quite nice for having no damage whatsoever to report in the wire groove area. I'm asking $20 US plus shipping for this piece. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
