From the power/code lead that followed the northern side of the tracks. The old communication line followed the southern side of the ROW. They ran up over the tunnels side by side. The comm. line was there first and was built when the tracks were constructed. The power/code line was added in the early 1920's when the railroad installed US&S Position Light Signals.
