This was a find back in January, 2016 with Mike Green along a hard to hunt 30,000-volt line. It is the better of two M-3041 discovered. The second example is missing the bottom skirt! The original line was changed to a 44,000-volt line around 1920 and this insulator was tossed far off the line into the trees during the rebuild. And for that reason it survived to modern day with other examples were found destroyed by vehicles cutting brush along the line.
