TheSignal Service built a weather observatory in 1874 and was the final point of the cog railway telegraph line. However, due to the vulnerability of the line to lightning strikes another signal shed was built just before the summit station in 1875. This is a photo of that shed. Examples of lightning struck ramshorns do exist in the hobby.
