Unusual Corner Bracket Sold

What's unusual (to me) is that the pin goes straight out from the mount while most corner brackets that I've seen have an angle upwards perpendicular to the mount. Also, the mount on this one is greater than 90° wide, although that may have happened after it was made. The whole bracket measures 11" from the ends of the mount to the end of the threads. The mount itself is 1-1/8" wide at the center with a 9" spread and two holes on each side. The pin is embossed on one side BEARDSLEY/NAUGATUCK, CT. The other side has an 8. I understand that corner brackets generally are quite popular; I'm asking $65 plus postage for this unusual example.

UPDATE--Apparently the reason this corner bracket is so unusual is because it's actually a roof bracket. It's still sold. 8^)
