Norwood, MA c.1925. Twin Telegraph Openwire Pole Lines, Train Accident.

Norwood is about 20 miles southeast of Boston. This image was photographed on what still is the main RR route (now Amtrak) between Boston and New York City. Important telegraph lines pararelled it since about 1850. Two separate pole lines are seen here. I believe one was Western Union (on the right) and the other B&O Telegraph. Both lines stood until the early-to-mid 1960s.
