Buzzards Bay, Cape Cod, MA. Telegraph Line Still Standing After 1938 Hurricane

This was the main telegraph route that led to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The famous railroad bridge (it remains exactly the same to this day) that crosses the canal is in the background. The telegraph circuits pararelled this bridge in covered, paired cable. The openwire telegraph pole line that served Cape Cod stood in service until the late 1960s.
