Of interest on the left is a pole line that supported its openwire by means of small white porcelain knobs affixed to their crossarms. This practice wasn't all that common but it was another method of using insulators for carrying telephone circuits. Across the street note there is another pole line. That one has at least one 12-pin crossarm as you can see and the rest appear to be six-pinners. Probably for electric lighting service and other comms. |
