Something else I collect besides insulators is sea glass (surf tumbled glass thanks to nature's rock tumbler). I've been chasing it in the surf since 2001. It's mostly Mason jar pieces, bottle pieces or sometimes drinking glass shards. But you get other stuff too. So far I have a bottle stopper, a marble and half a glass tail light lense could be from a boat?. However, I have yet to find any insulator pieces. Someone did find a mostly whole Brookfield pony in the ocean in one of the towns I often go to hunt so I'm crossing my fingers. Wasn't in the water as much as I like as my right boot sprung a leak. But these are the best finds for this hunt. The coin was a 1990 quarter you can just make out the date.
