A short lived all-wood pole construction devised by A. L. Woodhouse of the Telluride company employed on the Madison River Power Company's transmission line to Butte in 1901.

"Some people, (P. N. Nunn) said, pointed to the insulators on his Provo line and said, "Of course wood pins must be a success with such insulators."; others pointed to the wood pins and said, "Of course such insulators would be a success with such long pins."
