This route went east-west across Massachusetts, connecting Boston, MA with Albany, NY (and beyond), built in the 1880s. Some "Pilgrim Hats" and CREB Brookfield beehives without inner skirts have been located in rural areas where this line transversed. It is believed the forementioned Brookfields were used on a ridge pin on top of each pole that supported a ground wire. Several of these insulators were found in a marshy area years ago by the late Richard Gay (of Worcester, MA) in central MA where this line ran.

Also, an early two-sidepin subscriber line appears alongside the tall AT&T poles.
