Being January 14, let's us take a moment of silence to celebrate the 140th anniversary of the patent for the "frustrum cone" that made the straight skirt 127-type designs obsolete and ushered in the CD 126 and its little brother, the "pony" 102.

A common early pony insulator in a very uncommon color for these. This piece was plucked off a pole right on the east end of Pomeroy, Washington, by the grain silos there.
