In 1956, Edith Cockins wrote Ralph Davenport Mershon's biography and included in a separate volume, his major published works. Edith was associated with The Ohio State University as the Registrar for 49 years and had first-hand contact with Mershon who left most of his estate to the University when he died. Only 200 copies of the 2 volume set were printed. The printing was made on parchment paper and the two volumes were put into a box. This set does not have the box, has stains on the cover of one volume, fading on the spine, library call numbers on the spine, library label residue on the back, and a marking of "withdrawn" inside. Anytime you see photographs of the Niagara line, the Telluride line, the Shawinigan insulator, the Pomona, and others, they came from this book. $125 postpaid by PayPal Friends, Check, Money order, or picked up at the end of January Crown Point, IN show. |
