Here is a CD 138 W. Brookfield/Postal with huge skirt lettering in vivid yellow-green. I got this piece in October 1967 right here in Abington, MA from the fire alarm division's back room. Upon inquiring about looking through any "old stuff" they might have had, the guy in charge said there was a wooden bin full of glass insulators in the backroom and I could take any that I wanted.

Everything was in an ancient 4 by 2-foot wooden crate, chock full of glass insulators, most of which were very dusty and had not seen the light of day in decades. In addition to the Postal, I found several deep amber CD 134 T-H.E. Co.'s. These predominantly were used on fire alarm circuits in Abington and Rockland, MA (which is one town away).

During the past 52 years I have never seen or heard of a Postal in this color with large lettering. It was the only one in the fire alarm supply room and I always wondered how something so odd got there! It probably was among some surplus insulators the town got years ago but never used.
