Some nostalgia and a topical insulator from last weekend's wandering. I saw this authentic A&W Root Beer mug in near perfect condition and had to buy it. I don't know if there are any A&W Drive-ins still operating anywhere, but I recall the Saturday family trips to Augusta in the old "beach wagon" to get some of the best root beer available on the market!

Moxie is a local concoction that was big nationally at one time, and the annual Moxie Festival in Lisbon Falls still draws many thousands of attendees every year. The glass bottles embossed with the "Nerve Food" label are much less common. This one is bluer than the usual aquas, and it's mint.

The Coke bottle is damaged, but it's also bluer than most, and it's got the 1916 patent date, which is hard to find.

But the real surprise is a CD 121 BROOKFIELD EIN [030] (Dome) X2 (F-Skirt) BROOKFIELD (R-Skirt) [Five blots] SB in two-tone Dark Aqua/"Benicia" glass, which has been discussed in the ICON digest recently. I don't know anything about its history or how it came to have this patina, but this one is vnm+ with only a couple of tiny flakes on the lower wire ridge in the rear. It's for sale if anyone's interested [id=550810147]. Other inquiries welcome. Thanks for looking.
