This was a major north-south Boston & Maine railway route out of Boston, MA that headed up to Maine and beyond. Much of this railway pararelled close to the coast between Boston and Portland, ME. I believe this could have been a section of AT&T toll lead. The majority of the latter between the forementioned points ran along nearby what is now known as US 1.
