MA Privy Find - Oddball, Hybrid New Eng. Tel. & Tel. Co. National Pony CD 104 Sold

This one was dug from a Pittsfield, MA privy. It had a lot of burial stain which I was able to partially clean up, but you still see a lot of haziness in the glass from burial. I don't collect these ponies but this one seem to have an odd, unique profile from all of the ones I have seen.

1. It has a very wide wire groove that you normally see in the unmarked pennycuicks, but it is not a pennycuick.

2. It is a three piece mold, but it has little if any upper wire ridge.

3. It has the thin embossing and tight arc you see in Hemingray units, but lacks the other telltale characteristics that would make it a Hemingray-made CD 104

There is a nice size bubble in the rear, two nicks on the base. Asking $45.00 plus shipping.
