Up for sale is a MIN COM CUBA CD 154 which was part of a small lot given to me by a friend to sell for him. He managed to obtain some of these from a local while on vacation in Cuba earlier this year. It's interesting to see the symmetry in telegraph styles used here and there, though I'm unsure when these were used and how many were actually made. This example is the [015] EIN with "5A" embossed on the rear skirt. It's a very nice dark straw shade which really glows in natural sunlight. The colour is reminiscent of Lynchburg CD 154s I've seen in smoky straw shades. The mold style is sort of short and fat compared to typical North American CD 154 styles. This example has a bit of damage from its years of use. This one has a few wire groove chips - one 5/8" upper wire groove chip above the left mold line, and a 7/8" upper wire groove chip on the front upper wire ridge. It also has a small 1/8" flake on the rear upper wire ridge, and a couple small inner skirt flakes at about the right mold line. Lastly, it has a slight flashover scar on the rear skirt. I'm asking $160 USD plus shipping for this example. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
