Here is a CREB CD 145 EIN [230] (F-Crown) 12/(Arc)W. BROOKFIELD/45 CLIFF ST./N.Y. {MLOD} SB in Aqua. According to Lee Brewer's excellent book, https://www.insulators.info/books/creb-reference.htm, this one is SN12c. While the book notes that the 12 is one of the scarcer shop numbers, it also says they are less rare than the SN5. In my personal experience, however, I will find five or six SN5's for every one SN12 that I see. (Maybe it's geographic—I have lots of 5's if anyone needs one.) This SN12 is virtually mint, with only some light wire rubs in the groove to show it was used and a tiny open bubble on the base. The outer surface has an orange-peel effect with several straw lines, and the inner skirt has a substantial underpour (not damage). Asking $50 plus postage for this scarce shop number in remarkable condition. |
