The latter were popular power line switches made by KPF Industries which was located in Stockton, CA. These three-gang "knife" disconnecting switches operated via a lever below. These switching assemblies often utilized porcelain ten-inch suspension discs with special metal hardware cemented upon them. A great many of these switches were used by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, Southern California Edison and the New England Electric Service Company. KPF switches of this type were made in ratings up to 115kv.
