Linemen and patrols on the Western side of Argentine Pass stayed here, a stone bunkhouse. The cabin is still in use by the forestry service occasionally in the winter time. Telephone lines connected to the power company's private Shoshone telephone line and possibly the main telephone line entered this building. The Western switch tower was located near here.
